About Grayson

I was born in North Carolina and spent most of my life in Miami, Florida, before finally arriving in Seattle in 2014 to attend University of Washington School of Law. I was drawn to the law in no small part because of the experience of losing my grandmother.  Although her death took us by surprise, she had an estate plan, and a very good one at that.  My father was her selected administrator (in her case, “a trustee”), and through him I had the eye-opening privilege of seeing exactly what it took my own father to settle my grandmother’s affairs.  I was struck by what efficient estate administration looked like, as well as by the strategies my grandmother used to ensure that her plan would reach fruition.

This experience radically changed my perspective on death planning, and I knew that this was something that I deeply wanted to help others navigate.  After graduating from law school in 2017, I began my career at a boutique estate planning and estate administration law firm, where I worked full-time exclusively on these matters for my clients.  Over the course of my career, I have successfully guided many estate plans through life and death, strategically addressing matters such as tax efficiency, long-term care benefits, special needs beneficiaries, blended/non-traditional families, qualified retirement plans, and more.

In May of 2022, my friends at Holmquist & Gardiner invited me to join the firm in order to build our estate planning and administration practices.  I am thrilled be a team member of such an established and reputable firm, and I look forward to working together as a unit to better serve our clients.
