Effective December 1, 2024, the Washington State Department of Revenue will implement an updated version of the Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit (REETA) form for all real estate transactions. This updated form, REV 84-0001A, must be used for sales and transfers of real property starting December 1, 2024.
Please ensure that all parties involved in the transaction complete and submit the updated form accurately to avoid any delays or rejections. A copy of the new REETA form is available here.
